Hi, I’m James.
I’m a filmmaker, editor, and all-around visual storyteller. Whether it’s producing engaging documentaries, crafting cinematic travel films, or helping brands bring their vision to life, I love turning ideas into engaging visuals.
My journey has taken me from filming in the comfort of people’s homes to the lively favelas of Brazil, always chasing the perfect shot. (sometimes literally - cameras are heavier than they look!). When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll probably find me planning the next adventure, testing out new gear, or editing in a dark room until the early hours - fuelled by caffeine and a stubborn commitment to the perfect edit.

Alvaro Barrington - London Studio
I had the opportunity to visit Alvaro Barrington’s London studio and film an interview with the artist ahead of his upcoming show at MASSIMODECARLO Milan.
Alvaro is currently working on new pieces for the exhibition, drawing inspiration from icons like Kobe Bryant, Tupac Shakur, and Biggie. During my visit, we captured him working on these pieces and had a chance to get to know his story better.
Postcards - Vietnam
A cinematic journey through Southeast Asia. In 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to travel across Asia for over six months, immersing myself in the diverse cultures and landscapes of each country. Along the way, I found inspiration in capturing pure, unfiltered moments that reflect the essence of each place I explored.
My 'Postcards' series features short films that showcase the beauty, vibrancy, and authentic experiences from my travels. This is a glimpse of Vietnam.
Meta - Virtual Reality Inclusivity
Virtual Reality has immense potential, but true growth demands inclusivity. This research-led project explored how individuals are creatively adapting the Meta Quest to meet their unique accessibility needs. Through a series of ethnographic documentaries, I captured these innovative approaches, showcasing the power of customisation and highlighting the importance of accessibility in VR development.

WhatsApp - Organic Business
I had the opportunity to travel to São Paulo to meet small business owners on behalf of WhatsApp Business (WAB). WhatsApp wanted to explore how early adopters of the WAB app have been using it to grow, improve, and innovate their businesses.
Here’s a teaser from my shoot with a new organic food startup in Brazil, using WhatsApp Business to help them thrive.
